Painting Stamina

I had a wonderful day of painting! I came home from the gym with the intention of putting the same kind of energy into painting that I'd put into my workout. I really wanted to sustain the energy and pace of work throughout the whole day. I did that and now the question is, can I do it for several days in a row? Maybe even a week?? That would be terrific. I have shows coming up!! This painting is 4'x6' and is based on a smaller study of Oregon vineyards. I like the warmth and texture and earthiness.

We are headed to Belleville, IL in just two weeks, then Chicago, and Door County, WI for my workshop. Family will be holding down the fort at home. Crazy and fun.

Love it Marla! I can just feel being there! Have fun in Door County--it's a beautiful place. Just be prepared for changeable weather--that's Wisconsin for 'ya! :-)

Marla, I have just stumbled across your blog and I love both your art and your infectious enthusiasm! I know my painting stamina ran out today and I'm already dreading tomorrow, I think I'll pop back here in the morning for an injection of energy. Very much looking forward to following your progress. The 100 variations you have on your website are my favourites so far.

I really enjoy your blog. You ispire me. In fact my class and I did not 100 but we ended up doing around 20 small paintings on the same theme. We learned alot and as a result we are all better artists for it. Thanks again.
